Hello All
I just thought I would share a few snaps I took of Retro and otherwise fruit machine on a recent trip to the east coast. Feel free to click any thumb nails for larger version of the images.
Starting off in old faithful the Carnivale / Happy days arcade in Chapel St Leonard’s. This has and has had for a while a number of older machine. Until recently it even had a classic Cops and Robbers and I think also a Road Hog. The Cops and Robbers and Road Hog have since moved on but they still have a couple of good oldies. Andy Capp, Andy’s Great Escape, Adders and Ladders (Although this is the tightest old school slot I have played in ages, it may just be me tho). This arcade tho small is well worth a visit anyway.
Now moving on to a relatively new discovery for me, and I think his may be my new favourite place on earth (so far)…
Here I found quite a few old the older fruit machines which surprised me as I don’t recall seeing them the last time I visited. I thought they had almost been wiped from existence on the east coast. Anyway here are a few pics that I managed to capture, be in doubt there are others so its well worth a visit.
Also please note before getting excited like I did the classic Cops And Robbers was not working at the time I visited. The cruelty as it was on I would like to think that they are looking to get it working again? Otherwise why would it be on, if they need to light the room buy a lamp. Anyway when it is up and working again, well its the only one I know of on the east coast at present.
Anyway enjoy….
Please also find below my first attempt at recording live fruit machine play (I can only get better lol). This is taken on the above Andy Capp and Viva Las Vegas machines in the City Of Gold arcade in Mablethorpe
Now moving on again, I had a random bit of luck on a couple of machines in the Funtasia Arcade in Ingoldmells. Below are the images.
Party time I wish I had been filming this i literally put a 10p piece in. I had my reasons OK. Well what I wanted did not hold, but upon spinning the reels the Jackpot rolled in as shown. The putting another 10p in it then proceeded to hold. No top board action I’m afraid but A nice 20p investment.
Rainbow riches took a little more than 10p. But no more than £30 so again no a bad random little win. These were my 2 wins of the trip to congratulations to Funtasia as my arcade of the week 🙂
Anyway thanks for taking the time to have a read. I hope you have enjoyed it. Any comments please comment below or get in touch.
As always if you need anything from me just shout.
